Partial Enclosure for Transformer

This partial transformer enclosure (four acoustic walls) gives an acoustic reduction of 8 decibels. A weatherproof membrane also contributes to the acoustic insulation of the transformer. MECART also designed and manufactured the structure with a vibration damping system.

The particularity of this enclosure is that it was assembled directly onto the transformer in the factory and then shipped in one piece to Massachusetts. Although this required additional planning in the engineering process, installation was much easier.

The enclosure is designed with our MECART modular system including removable panels for quick and easy access to the transformer at all times. Access doors were customized according to the customer’s requirements for both dimensions and positioning.
